Why You Should Go to Church

There are many churches today that hold worship service during Sundays. And it is good that people go to church on Sundays. We worship on a Sunday to commemorate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is the first day of the week, a Sunday. Many people don’t go to church on Sunday but it is actually one of the ten commandments to keep one day out of sever holy unto Him. Here are some reason why you need to go to church.

Worshipping God is one reason we go to church. If you worship God, it shows that you love Him. His commandments tell us to love God above all things. During Sunday worship, we sing praises to God and listen to the Bible being peached so that we can see His glory and worship Him as a result. It is a duty of Christians to worship God on His holy day. And so this gives us one reason to go to church.

We also go to church to hear the word of God preached and learn from it. During worship day, the preacher teaches us the Word of God. In the preaching of God’s Word, we get to know God’s attributes, what He did for out sins, how we should properly worship God, how we should properly live our lives. It is in the Bible where the great truths about God and man are taught. And if you listen intently to the sermons being preached on Sunday, then you will learn much about the word of God which you can apply to all aspects of your life.

Meeting fellow believers during the worship is another reason why we go to church. Our gathering together shows that we are one body in Christ. Here we get to meet people who have the same faith and belief as we have. It is the place to share our joys and our burdens to fellow believers. Here we rejoice together over the good blessing that the Lord has showered upon us. Confession of sins to each other is also a part of this meeting. Since God has commanded us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together, so we gather together on a Sunday to worship God and to fellowship with other believers.

You will find many churches today where you can go and worship God with His people every Sunday. Just make sure that the church you are going to is really the church of God, teaching the Word of God and not the word of man. If you go to church on Sundays, you will receive great blessing from knowing His Word and from fellowshipping with fellow believers.
